WEHRLE FILMS is an independent documentary production company focused on real stories beneath the surface.

Founded by filmmaker and underwater cinematographer Christian Wehrle, WEHRLE FILMS explores hidden worlds — from historic shipwrecks of World War II to remote coral reefs, deep caves, and rarely seen underwater ecosystems. Our films combine cinematic visuals with authenticity, respect, and a deep passion for exploration.

With a strong background in technical and rebreather diving, our work is created directly inside the environments we document. This allows us to capture places and moments that are often inaccessible, fragile, or forgotten — without staging, without narration overload, and without sensationalism.

WEHRLE FILMS productions have been released internationally across major streaming platforms and are watched by audiences worldwide. Each project is driven by the same principle:
to tell meaningful stories through images that speak for themselves.
